Introduction
The University of Hertfordshire is a public university in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. The university is based largely in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Its antecedent institution, Hatfield Technical College, was founded in 1948 and was identified as one of 25 Colleges of Technology in the United Kingdom in 1959.
Location
The University of Hertfordshire is located just 25 minutes by train from London in beautiful countryside north of the capital. The University of Hertfordshire’s two campuses in Hatfield are only ten minutes walk apart, connected by a network of pathways, cycle routes and shuttle buses. Hatfield is a town of almost 30,000 people in the county of Hertfordshire. It features several pubs and The Forum, a popular entertainment venue with students. The town centre is small but features a regular market and a farmers’ market each month.
