In the Kaliningrad region, IKBFU is a leading university and one of the 10 federal universities of the Russian Federation. It is conveniently located in the heart of Europe which attracts students and researchers around the world. In today time’s 40 countries of the world from Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Africa study at different levels and conduct research at the University. This university keeps the academic traditions of its predecessor and introduces the newest technologies of Russian classical education.

As per stats, 10229 students are enrolled in vocational and higher education programs in which 9.6% are international students. University is having 34 training facilities and dormitories which are located all over Kaliningrad. Today IKBFU is the biggest educational, scientific and cultural center of the most western region of Russia and its campus consists of several mini-campuses all over the city like the mini-campus on Chernisheyskogo Street, belonging to the Institute for the Humanities and the Institute of Education which are located in the historical part of Kaliningrad. There are two training facilities in mini-campus, a dormitory, and a sports facility. Training facilities are having modern and fully equipped classrooms, computer classes, library study halls, and a mini-cafe with enough classrooms for educational and scientific activity. In this university there is a separate lecture room, classrooms for practical training and scientific laboratories, and also have an opportunity to study in computer labs with advanced hardware and software. There is various accommodation option which differs in the level of comfort, proximity to the educational buildings, sports facilities of the university and university is having a policy of setting a student nearest to the place of study which takes care the convenience and time saving of students. For international students from the same country are settled together by which they can support each other and preserve their cultural ethics and customs. As per security reasons, the administration pays a lot of attention to students and staff as like entrance system is being upgraded constantly as well as access control to all the facilities. All the security measure is made for students and especially for those who are not from the region or country. For students, IKBFU also has indoor sports facilities which include a swimming pool, fitness centers, and gyms. Moreover, it is also having outdoor facilities and stadiums which are located near places where students study and live by which they would be able to do sports both as a part of university training and in their free time.
